Genuine Bayer K9 Advantix
K9 Advantix from Bayer is a new product combining the flea protection of Advantage with the tick killing action of Kiltix. It is a real solution to all three parasites, fleas, ticks and biting mosquitoes. It repells and kills mosquitoes before they can bite. Mosquitoes are the carrier of the West Nile virus. Their bites can also cause skin irritation and allergic reactions in some dogs. K9 Advantix also gives dogs added protection against ticks. It repells and kills Deer ticks, American dog ticks, Brown dog ticks and Loan Star star ticks before they can attach. Biting ticks can transmit lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, and Ehrlichiosis, Babesiosis, and Tularemia. And K9 Advantix retains the same great flea control as Advantage. In fact the two active ingredients of both products, imidacloprid in Advantage and Permthrin in Kiltix work synergistically to rapidly paralyze and kill all three of these parasites.
K9 Advantix can be used on puppies as young as seven weeks of age. It is water resistant so it keeps on working even after your dog goes swimming or is bathed. K9 Advantix is a topical solution that is easy to apply. Just part the hair on your dog's shoulders at the top of the back exposing the skin. Squeeze the tube twice to expell the entire contents. On larger dogs apply evenly to three or four spots along the dogs back from shoulders to base of tail. Side effects are extremely rare, but if seen include lethargy and itchy skin. If you notice any of these side affects, consult your veterinarian. Warning: Do not to use on cats.
